About Bluebird Sing

Hi! Welcome!

My name is lorna and I am the potter and artist behind bluebird sing. I live in the beautiful pacific northwest with my husband & 3 children. I Have a passion for art and learning that has lead me to creating art in several forms.

I make pottery and art in small batches influenced by the seasons where I live. I feel inspired by going on morning walks and visits to the beach with my family. My pottery and paintings are typically a reflection of nature and life with my family. I love to take pictures of places we go, and then come home and create something that is inspired by that image or experience.

Our home is full of art. My art, our children’s art, and the art of people that inspire me. I love to look for art and often go shopping for vintage pieces. I love to upcycle furniture, I love to find jewelry and decor. Sometimes I am drawn to a piece because of a pattern that I like or a shape that inspires my art. Sometimes I collect things that remind me of thrift shopping with my mother.

I have a booth in Olympia, WA at courtyard antiques & home goods, where I have some of my work and vintage treasures. It’s in the upper level. Booth #13. I usually put the smaller Items here on my website because they are easier to ship, but if you see something in the gallery under the local shop tab, that you would like shipped, please e-mail me, and I will see if it’s still available and look into shipping for you.
